Who is Eligible?
You are eligible for individual coverage under the Willamette Dental TrueCare Oregon plan if you are an Oregon resident and are at least 18 years of age. Your eligible dependents include your spouse or domestic partner, child, and spouse's or domestic partner's child. Members may not be enrolled under any other insurance policy or contract issued or offered by Willamette Dental Group or its affiliates.

How to Enroll
To enroll in the Willamette Dental TrueCare Oregon plan, simply complete both sides of the application form in the brochure linked above, including your signature on the back, and submit it along with your premium payment.

You have two options for premium payment – Auto Pay (automatic checking account deduction) or Check.

If you are paying by Auto Pay, you can submit your completed application in three ways:

  • via mail to the address below (you do not need to include your first month's premium payment or a voided check)
  • via email to tco@willamettedental.com
  • via fax to 503-219-3696

If you are paying by check, enclose a check for your first month's premium payment with your completed application to the address below.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I sign up for the Willamette Dental TrueCare Oregon plan and still go to my own dentist?

To receive the excellent benefits of the TrueCare plan, you must receive care from a Willamette Dental Group dentist or specialist. Your coverage also extends if you are referred to an outside dentist or specialist by your Willamette Dental Group dentist. If referred to an outside dentist or specialist, your copayments remain the same as shown in your Summary of Benefits.

How do I schedule an appointment?
To schedule an appointment, please call our Appointment Center toll free at: 1.855.4DENTAL (433-6825), Option 1. The Appointment Center is open Monday – Thursday from 7am – 8pm, Friday from 7am – 6pm and Saturday from 7am – 4pm.

What can I expect at my first visit?
During your first visit to our office, you will receive a thorough dental examination that includes X-rays and comprehensive risk assessments. Your dentist will develop a Proactive Dental Care Plan based upon your immediate needs, current dental health and long-term oral health goals. This individual plan will include recommendations for cleanings, restorations and preventive treatments. Most patients will receive a cleaning at their first visit, based on the assessment and recommendation from your dentist.

When can I start using my TrueCare Oregon coverage?
If you have submitted your application and premium payment by the 25th of the month, your coverage will be effective the 1st of the following month.

How are premium payments made for Willamette Dental TrueCare Oregon?
Premiums for Willamette Dental TrueCare Oregon are paid on a monthly basis. You have two payment method options:

  1. Via Check – You may elect to receive a paper billing statement and pay your premium via check. With this option, there will be an additional $5.00 administration fee with each billing statement provided.
  2. Via Auto Pay – You may elect to have your premiums drafted each month via electronic funds transfer. The additional administration fee is waived if this option is selected. There will be no premium statement received should this option be selected.
Premiums are due on the 25th of the month preceding the period coverage is to be effective. Premium rates are valid for 12 months from the effective date of your policy.

Can I drop-off my application and premium payment?

How do I know how much Willamette Dental Group charges for dental procedures?
After enrolling in TrueCare Oregon, you will be mailed a printed copy of the plan policy. Please refer to this policy for a list of copayments for covered dental procedures. The costs of many dental services are covered with a reasonable service copayment.

For questions about the costs of specific procedures not covered under the plan, you may contact our Member Services Department at 1.855.4DENTAL (433-6825), Option 3.

Are there benefit waiting periods under this plan?
Major services, such as crowns, bridges, and dentures are covered following a 12-month waiting period at substantial savings with predictable costs. Coverage for orthodontic treatment is available to both adults and children after a six-month waiting period.

Are implants covered on the Willamette Dental TrueCare Oregon plan?
As a TrueCare Oregon member, you are eligible to receive a 20% discount* on dental implant services from Willamette Dental Group, P.C. through our Value-Added Implant Program.

The discount under the Value-Added Implant Program is available only when a Willamette Dental Group dentist performs the entire treatment. This includes preparation, surgery, appliance and seating. If it is determined the bone or tissues are not suitable for implant restoration treatment, additional surgeries may be required.

*The Value-Added Implant Program is not insurance. You are responsible for all fees, which are due at the time of service.

Will I receive a Willamette Dental TrueCare Oregon insurance card when I become a member?
Yes. Your Willamette Dental TrueCare ID card(s) will be mailed to you after our receipt and acceptance of your complete application and premium payment.
