Secure Email Instructions

Introduction

The following instructions demonstrate how to send/receive secure email using Willamette Dental’s secure email service. It is necessary to utilize secure email when sending/receiving sensitive information such as Personally Identifiable Information (PII) or Protected Health Information (PHI). The following topics are covered in these instructions:

  • Composing Secure Emails

Composing Secure Emails

To compose a secure email to Willamette Dental Group, complete the following:
1. Navigate to https://wdglink.com/secure-em.

2. Sign-in with your Google or Microsoft username and password by clicking on Google or Microsoft buttons shown below.

3. A pop-up window will appear asking for your Google or Microsoft credentials. Note: If no pop-up windows appears, make sure you add https://wdglink.com/secure-em to your browser’s pop-up window allow list.

4. If you don’t have a Google or Microsoft account, click the ‘Register’ button as shown below.

5. Enter a valid email address, a secure password, and click ‘Register’.

6. You’ll see the following notification to check your email for an activation notification.

7. Login to your email and click the activation link. If you don’t see the email, look in your junkmail/spam folder or contact your email administrator to confirm if your email is being blocked.

8. After clicking the link, click the ‘Activate’ button as shown below:

9. If activation is successful, you’ll receive this message. If it’s not successful, contact the Willamette Dental Group tech support for assistance (email helpdesk@willamettedental.com or call 503-952-2123).

10. Once the account is activated, go back to the login page, enter your email address and password, and click ‘Sign In’ to be directed to you Inbox.

 

Reading, Replying, and Forwarding Secure Emails

1. When you receive a secure email from Willamette Dental, you’ll receive an email notification like the one below. In order to read, reply, or forward the email, you will need to click on the link in the email within 90 days of receiving the secure email.

2. After signing in, you will be able to read, reply, forward, or delete the secure email as shown below.

 

Resetting Your Password

1. Click the ‘Reset’ button from the sign-in page.

2. Enter your new desired password and click the ‘Reset’ button.

3. You’ll receive a notification to check your email.

4. Click on the activation link from the email you receive. If you don’t see the email, look in your junkmail/spam folder or contact your email administrator to confirm if your email is being blocked.

5. After clicking the link, click the ‘Activate’ button as shown below:

7. Once the account is activated, go back to the login page, enter your email address and password, and click ‘Sign In’ to be directed to you Inbox.
