As a member of Dental Plus of Oregon,
can I go to any dentist I choose?
The benefits of this plan are ONLY offered when services are provided by a dentist or specialist at a Willamette Dental office.
Is this plan offered to Washington residents?
You must be an Oregon resident to be eligible for Dental Plus of Oregon. However, the benefits of this plan are offered at all Willamette Dental offices in Oregon, Washington, and Idaho.

What can I expect at my first visit?
If you are a new Willamette Dental patient, your dentist will need to examine your current oral health in order to make an informed recommendation for a personalized treatment schedule. Your first visit will probably include a new patient exam and x-rays. Cleanings and other preventive procedures can be scheduled after this initial appointment.
What procedures are covered at 25% and
which are covered at 15%?
Any procedure that does NOT require the work of a specialist (specialists include orthodontists, periodontists, endodontists, denturists, cosmetic dentists, pediatric dentists, etc.) is covered at 25%. This includes any work done by a general dentist or hygienist, and also applies to all lab fees. Any time an appointment is made with a specialist your discount is 15% for any procedure.
How do I know how much Willamette Dental
charges for dental procedures?
Willamette Dental’s UCR (Usual Customary and Reasonable) Charges are very similar to those you would find at most other dental practices in Oregon. For questions about the costs of specific procedures please contact our Patient Relations Department at (800) 460-7644 x4393.
How are payments made for Dental Plus Insurance?
Premium for Dental Plus of Oregon is paid annually; prior to the 25th of the month preceding the effective date of coverage. Premium payments should be mailed to:

Charges for dental services are to be paid in full at the time of service.
Are there any waiting periods under this plan?
There are no waiting periods with Dental Plus of Oregon. If your payment and application is received by the 25th of the month, then eligibility for Dental Plus of Oregon begins on the 1st of the following month.
Will I receive a Dental Plus insurance card
when I become a member?
Yes. Your dental Plus ID card(s) will be mailed to you within 10 business days after receipt of premium payment. However, as long as you are a member of Dental Plus of Oregon, you do not need an ID card to be seen or to make an appointment.
